Ableton

Ableton Live is a digital audio workstation (DAW) software product from [Ableton] that is used to author and perform music and audio soundscapes, and supporting a myriad of audio devices, plugins and the Ableton Link protocol. It is designed to be an instrument for live performances as well as a tool for composing, recording, arranging, mixing, and mastering.

TDAbleton is a tool for linking TouchDesigner tightly with Ableton Live. It offers full access to most everything going on in an Ableton set.

The Ableton Link CHOP retrieves timing information from an [Ableton Link] supported network.

A Link. The grey dashed lines between nodes is a Reference or Link that indicates one operator is getting data from another operator from any Operator Family.

A Link or Reference is a dashed line between nodes that represent other data flowing between nodes. Examples are CHOP Exports, node Paths in parameters, and expressions in parameters referencing CHOP channels, DAT tables and other nodes. In contrast is a Wire that connects nodes in the same Operator Family.
